Full versus half suction drainage after modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer

Background: Suction drains are routinely used after modified radical mastectomy and an important factor contributing to increased hospital stay as the patients often discharged only their removal. Amongst various factors that influence amount of postoperative drainage, negative suction pressure applied drain has been reported be great significance.
