چکیده

Background: Suction drains are routinely used after modified radical mastectomy and an important factor contributing to increased hospital stay as the patients often discharged only their removal. Amongst various factors that influence amount of postoperative drainage, negative suction pressure applied drain has been reported be great significance. While a high is expected collection reduce dead space promptly, it may also prevent leaking lymphatics from closing lead drainage wound. Against this background prospective randomized clinical study was conducted compare duration between half full vacuum in following mastectomy. The associated morbidity compared two groups. Methods: 40 FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) proven cases locally advanced breast cancer were randomized. (Using randomly ordered sealed envelops, which opened immediately before closure wound) 20 with (pressure = 700 g/m2) 35 350
